Service Location

We are pleased to announce that the following recording services are now available at our Civil Family Courthouse office, located at 1700 Guadalupe St., 4th Floor, Ste. 4.300, Austin, TX 78701. Services are offered Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. No appointment is required.

Services available at this location include:

  • DBA (Doing Business As) recordings.
  • Marriage License Issuance and Recording (No Plat Recording at this location)
  • Official Public Record Recording
  • Certified and standard copies for limited documents

The Recording Division preserves documents related to real property, including deeds and tax liens, issues marriage licenses, and records assumed name certificates (DBAs) for new businesses. Our permanent library contains millions of documents, dating back to the 1800s. Older documents are available on microfilm, and newer records can be viewed online.
